Seamless, affordable, genuinely waterproof
Sheet vinyl is the original waterproof floor, and today’s versions look nothing like the kitchen floor you might remember from a grandparent’s house. The Flooring House installs sheet vinyl in kitchens, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and bathrooms across Greater Charlotte, as well as commercial spaces that need the same water protection at a larger scale.
Because it installs in large continuous sheets, there are few or no seams for water to get under — exactly what you want in any room where spills and mopping are a daily fact of life.

Where sheet vinyl beats LVP or tile
Sheet vinyl isn’t trying to imitate hardwood — it’s built to be the most practical, lowest-maintenance floor available, and in the rooms below that’s exactly what most homeowners want.
- Laundry rooms — one seamless sheet, no seams for leaks to find
- Small bathrooms — waterproof and budget-friendly
- Mudrooms — shrugs off snow, salt, and muddy paws
- Basement bathrooms — a lower total project cost than tile
- Commercial settings like healthcare and schools, with Forbo Marmoleum and safety vinyl

The brands we trust
We carry Mannington, Armstrong, Forbo Marmoleum, and commercial-grade safety vinyl. For most homes, mid-range Mannington or Armstrong sheet vinyl delivers strong durability at a fair price. For commercial and healthcare installs, Forbo’s Marmoleum is the industry standard — and it has real appeal for eco-conscious homeowners too.

The install is harder than it looks
Rolling out a 12-foot sheet, fitting it precisely around a toilet or cabinet base, and bonding it without a trapped air pocket takes real practice. Our installers use full-spread adhesive or perimeter installation depending on the product, and we heat-weld seams on safety vinyl for true commercial-grade water containment. If you’d rather see how vinyl plank or LVT compares for your room, we’re happy to bring samples of all three to the same visit.

Sheet Vinyl Flooring - frequently asked questions
For small bathrooms, often yes — one seamless sheet means there’s no joint for water to find. LVP is the better fit for larger open areas where the look of individual planks matters more.
Quality residential sheet vinyl runs 15-20 years. Commercial sheet vinyl with heat-welded seams can go 25+ years, even in heavy-traffic buildings.
Sometimes — if the existing floor is flat, well-bonded, and not too deeply embossed. We check on-site and recommend skim-coating, full removal, or a direct overlay.
No — Marmoleum is natural linoleum made from linseed oil, jute, and wood flour. It’s a favorite in hospitals and schools for that reason, and it appeals to homeowners who want a more natural material too.

Why homeowners choose us
We bring the showroom to you No trip to a big-box store under fluorescent lighting. We load real samples into the truck and bring them to your kitchen table, so you see exactly how a floor will look in your own home before you commit.
Honest, no-pressure advice Ryan spent years on the manufacturer side and on install crews before opening his own doors — he’d rather tell you the truth about a product than talk you into one you don’t need.
A small crew that answers the phone You’re working directly with the family that owns the business, not a call center. Ryan personally checks in after the crew wraps up to make sure the job was done right.
