The showroom comes to you
You won’t find a carpet showroom to wander through at The Flooring House — and that’s on purpose. Owner Ryan Davis built the business as a mobile showroom: our team loads real carpet samples into the truck and brings them to your kitchen table in York, Clover, Rock Hill, or wherever you call home, so you’re choosing a color under your own lighting instead of the fluorescent glow of a warehouse aisle.

Choosing the right carpet for the room
The right fiber depends on how hard the room works. A primary bedroom can carry a soft plush pile, but a mudroom off the garage or a staircase (see our dedicated carpet stairs page) needs a tight, low-pile weave that won’t crush or fray.
- Nylon — the workhorse fiber for stairs, hallways, and high-traffic rooms
- Polyester (PET) — soft underfoot and naturally stain-resistant, a favorite with kids and dogs
- Wool — a premium, naturally flame- and stain-resistant fiber for formal rooms
- Berber loop — budget-friendly and hard-wearing, though we steer cat owners elsewhere
- Patterned and cut-and-loop textures that camouflage vacuum lines and everyday wear

Carpet tile for basements and bonus rooms
In the humid Piedmont summers we get from Fort Mill down through York County, basements and finished bonus rooms need flooring that can handle a little moisture. That’s exactly where modular carpet tile earns its keep — a stained or damaged square lifts out and gets swapped in minutes, instead of pulling up an entire room of broadloom.

Installation, and the small stuff most crews skip
Every carpet job gets fresh 8-pound rebond pad, a true power-stretch (not a knee kicker alone), and heat-bonded seams. We’ll also move and reset your furniture and haul off the old carpet at no extra charge, and if you’re re-carpeting around a favorite area rug, ask about our on-site rug customization while the crew is already there.

Carpet Flooring - frequently asked questions
Most 3-bedroom homes in the Charlotte area are done in a day, sometimes two if we’re also removing old carpet and pad and resetting furniture. We’ll give you a firm timeline during your free estimate.
Solution-dyed nylon or polyester. The color runs all the way through the fiber, so you can spot-treat an accident without leaving a faded patch.
Almost always. Old pad compresses and holds moisture, and reusing it can void the new carpet’s warranty. Fresh 8-pound rebond pad is included in every install we do.
Yes — we use a staple-free method that protects the wood, so you can pull the carpet back up later and have bare hardwood underneath.

Why homeowners choose us
We bring the showroom to you No trip to a big-box store under fluorescent lighting. We load real samples into the truck and bring them to your kitchen table, so you see exactly how a floor will look in your own home before you commit.
Honest, no-pressure advice Ryan spent years on the manufacturer side and on install crews before opening his own doors — he’d rather tell you the truth about a product than talk you into one you don’t need.
A small crew that answers the phone You’re working directly with the family that owns the business, not a call center. Ryan personally checks in after the crew wraps up to make sure the job was done right.
Built for local homes From older homes near the state line to new builds in Fort Mill and Indian Land, we know the housing stock in this area and recommend flooring that actually holds up here.
