One crew for every flooring type
A lot of Greater Charlotte homeowners end up juggling three or four different contractors on a flooring renovation — one for hardwood, one for tile, one for carpet, plus someone to handle transitions. The Flooring House does all of it under one roof, with Ryan on the same project from measure to finish, one schedule, and one warranty.
Our crew installs every major flooring category, and because we bring the samples and the quote to your home instead of running you through a showroom, jobs typically start within days of your estimate, not weeks.

What we install
Every project starts with a free in-home measure and a fixed-price quote — no hourly billing, no surprise add-ons mid-job.
- Hardwood — solid and engineered, nail-down, glue-down, or floating
- Luxury vinyl plank and sheet vinyl — residential and commercial
- Laminate — AC4 and AC5 commercial-grade options
- Carpet — stretch-in broadloom, glue-down, and carpet tile
- Tile — porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, and mosaic
- Stairs — hardwood treads, carpet runners, laminate, and vinyl

What’s included in every job
Our quotes are all-in. That means moisture testing on slabs, subfloor leveling, baseboard removal and reset, full disposal of your existing floor, and transitions into adjacent rooms. We also offer furniture removal and return and on-site area rug customization, so a single visit covers more than just the flooring itself. We protect the rest of your home with floor runners and dust containment, and we clean up at the end of every workday.

A warranty backed by the person who installed it
Manufacturer warranties cover the material, typically 25 years to lifetime depending on the product. We add our own labor warranty on top of that — if anything we install fails due to an installation defect, we come back and make it right at no charge. Since Ryan founded The Flooring House in York in 2024, that’s been the whole premise: one company, one number, no finger-pointing between contractor and manufacturer. Flooring Installation - frequently asked questions
A typical whole-room install (carpet, LVP, or laminate) takes 1 day. Hardwood runs 2-4 days depending on whether it’s pre-finished. Tile takes 3-5 days for installation plus a day for grout to cure before it’s walked on.
Yes — moving standard furniture is part of the install, and furniture removal and return is available if you’d rather not deal with it at all. We ask that you handle electronics, fragile items, and anything inside dressers or closets.
We’ll install customer-supplied materials, but the warranty coverage is labor-only in that case. When we supply the material, you get one combined warranty on both product and installation.
That’s most of our jobs — hardwood in the living areas, tile in the bathrooms, carpet on the stairs, all in one project with proper transitions between every material.

Why homeowners choose us
We bring the showroom to you No trip to a big-box store under fluorescent lighting. We load real samples into the truck and bring them to your kitchen table, so you see exactly how a floor will look in your own home before you commit.
Honest, no-pressure advice Ryan spent years on the manufacturer side and on install crews before opening his own doors — he’d rather tell you the truth about a product than talk you into one you don’t need.
A small crew that answers the phone You’re working directly with the family that owns the business, not a call center. Ryan personally checks in after the crew wraps up to make sure the job was done right.
Built for local homes From older homes near the state line to new builds in Fort Mill and Indian Land, we know the housing stock in this area and recommend flooring that actually holds up here.
