Why We Do It This Way

A lot of flooring shopping starts under fluorescent showroom lights, holding a 6-inch sample next to a mental picture of your living room. That’s a hard way to make a decision that’s going to sit under your feet for the next fifteen years. We built The Flooring House around the opposite idea: bring the samples to you, in the room they’re actually going into, so what you see is what you get.

Before We Arrive

When you request an estimate, we’ll ask a few quick questions — which rooms, roughly how much square footage, whether you’re working around pets, kids, allergies, or a tight move-in date. That helps us bring the right mix of hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, tile, carpet, and laminate samples instead of hauling in everything we own.

During the Visit

• We walk every room you’re considering and take real measurements — not a guess off a floor plan.
• We check the subfloor — is it slab, plywood, or an older crawl-space setup — since that affects which products make sense.
• We lay samples flat in your actual lighting so colors and finishes look the way they will once installed.
• We talk through budget honestly, including where a lower-cost material might actually outperform a pricier one in your specific room.
• We answer questions about maintenance, warranties, and how long the install will realistically take.

After the Visit

You’ll get a written, itemized quote — materials, labor, and any prep work — before we leave. No callback three days later with a different number, no material-only price that grows once labor gets added. If you want to think it over, take your time; we’re not going to blow up your phone. When you’re ready, scheduling the install is straightforward, and our crew handles furniture removal and return as part of the job.
